In the current Globalization and Information era, College of engineering, Korea University is leading high technology development. We encourage future oriented educational ideas and create outstanding human resources to guide future of Korean industry.

College of engineering has produced more than 16,000 outstanding industrial human resources enabling South Korea to enter post-industrial society. In 1996, College of engineering started a large-scale science town namely Korea Techno Complex to enforce industry-science-research cooperative system. It was the first attempt in Korea. Korea Techno Complex is representing Science-Korea University, which is the center of high technology. And our professors are endeavoring to educate outstanding graduate students. With this endeavor 3 fields of Information and Communication technology were selected as BK21, a project for nurturing highly qualified human resources, Internet IT-RC(Information Technology Research Center). ERC(Engineering Research Center) and NRL(National Research Laboratory) of Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.

Korea University is supporting Intelligent Campus 21, which connects the entire Korea university using electronic data system. The College of Engineering follows this policy. We are about to complete the second frontier science town which is going to support foundation and development of venture business and qualitative improvement of education. We also proceeded Korea University -KIST science-research cooperative research to activate development of scientific technology

In the highly competitive globalization and information era, we should support creative education and research to raise internationally competitive human resources. At this point of view, the importance of University education is emerging.
